Gotta phone 'em. I'm just a humble tourist.
The place was very empty when we walked in but the food was great Staff was very friendly we will definitely stop in again Thanks from Lansing
It's good pizza. They did mess up our order. So food remake took forever. But is was really good. Then my bill was wrong. Had to have that fixed. It was during the mermaid fest... So perhaps they were very busy and short staffed.
Loved my meat lovers pizza. Very delicious!
Pizza was okay but staff was awesome!
Grew up in south haven, and loved going to Venezia. Last had it about 4 years ago, and it was still as good as I remembered. Something happened since then, and it is nothing like it was. Toppings were scant and low quality, and hardly cooked. The cheese was like what I would expect on frozen pizza. Garlic bread with cheese was a joke, and hastily thrown together. My daughter got the pasta, and it had so much garlic (looked like minced from a jar), it was inedible. Bottom line is it is not what it used to be, and very upset I wasted one of my vacation meals here. Giving two stars only because they offered to take the garlic pasta off of our bill.
A disappointing experience. We went into Venezia to order takeout (while wearing our masks) yet not one employee -- not the hostess, wait staff, bus boy or kitchen staff -- was wearing a mask per Michigan's executive order. The order: Require hosts, servers, and staff to wear face coverings in the dining area. Require employees to wear face coverings and gloves in the kitchen area when handling food, consistent with guidelines from the Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”).We took a chance to travel. We want to support local businesses, but it's disappointing when you see a business acting with total disregard for the order. The pizza was good, but we'll be choosing another establishment in the future.
So basically, they were out of everything other than pizza so we went back and forth with the waitress (who was amazing) for 10 minutes trying to figure out what was available. Once the food got out we were unsurprised when it wasnt good. There was meat in our pasta that we asked for without meat and our pizza was missing the peppers. Not to mention the already horrific cracker crust was burnt black. When it came time to pay I saw a review saying they were charged extra so we were very careful with out check. Good thing we were because low and behold we were charged extra. When we went to the counter to speak with the waitress about the amount, we were flipped off by one of the "cooks" on our way out. Thank god for their waitress who was great and made the experience somewhat enjoyable.
I recommend this restaurant to everyone. Fabulous pizza and authentic Italian dishes.
Excellent service and good. Loved the music too. Will come again!
Different menu as experienced in a higher class venue. Friendly down home staff. Indoor / outdoor seating. Very fair pricing. Close to shopping and beach.
I have been visiting South Haven for many years. Though it had been quite some time since I've stopped at Venezia's Pizza. I'm glad that I did. The atmosphere is cozy, the prices are reasonable and the food was quite good.
Convenient to the harbor, and very tasty Pizza. Wasn't able to enjoy the dining room because of covid-19 restrictions.
Good food, service and atmosphere.
Excellent service, delicious pizza, garlic bread with cheese and salads with fresh grated mozzarella cheese Long time favorite place
Very understated family run spot. Friendly service and great food. The Venezia pizza is fantastic! Very homey interior. Don't expect fancy and you'll leave happy!
Great gluten free pizza & their prices are great. Will make it a regular stop👍
Yummy, friendly, good value, clean.
If you like thin crust pizza 😉 this is the place. The crust is like a cracker. Love it.
Awesome pizza. Very friendly and attentive servers. Thank you! 😁
Had pizza wendsday...employees no masks or gloves, whipping tables with same rag no disinfectant,,then pizza over cooked and crust tasted like cordboard , when I brought it to the servers attention twice , offered no compensation. A pizza served to another patron after mine looked normal still no comment from server after I mentioned that..too bad this business is run so poorly after a long shut down and it doesn’t look like they are even confirming to the guide lines
Really good food! Food came out quick me and my fiance where in and out in under a half hour but i believe we just got really lucky bc the staff seemed to be alittle disorganized. We weren't rushed to eat though dispite the limited seating. Over all i would come back again and again
I am here in South Haven for a week with family, and tonight was our last night here. After a whole week of great restaurants and delicious food, you would not imagine my dissapointment with this place. The water had an oily film on the top, my pasta had freezer burn on it, there was meat in the "vegitarian" pizza sauce, my cousin's chicken was frozen, and the pizza was burnt all the way around. Not to mention the amateur "cooks" flipped us off when we went to sort out our overcharged check. The one star that I give this place goes out to the two waitresses that made the expirience not totally awful. They were both nice and agreeable, and great through the whole night. They deserve to work somewhere where they don't have to come back every minute to tell you that they don't have something, or where they have to tell the "cooks" to step up their game.
Excellent thin cracker crust pizza cooked to perfection. Very small family run restaurant .
No. Because if other find out how good it is I won't able to get in
This litte place screams that was torn from Italy. Not complaining, the atmosphere is rich and full of love and care. Yes, in the summer It is very busy with tourists and college kids alike but all the locals know this little joint is to die for. Now to the topic of food what do they have subs, pasta, salads, and of course pizza. The thin crust is so thin and good it is hard to believe it was made by hand. Any thing they have is made made fresh and to order.
Nice place. Friendly staff. Great pizza. I loved the crust and our waitress Rilee (could be mispelled) was the best!
Good thin crust pizza, waitress and staff were very friendly. Casual dining.
Go here every time we are in South haven. Great pizza and service!
Food was great!
We eat here just about every year during our South Haven trip. It's always been very good. Excellent pizza! However this year, the wait staff seem to be thoroughly frazzled. Granted it was Blueberry Fest weekend, but the restaurant was by no means packed. Maybe just a fluke, I'm sure we will go back next year.
The waitress Angela was very friendly and nice. Will definitely come back
Lovely outside seating. We enjoyed the pizza, but the garlic bread was particularly tasty. Very fast and friendly service, despite a very busy Labor Day weekend.
Thin crust pizza, and it is amazing. Staff is very friendly. There is seating on the deck even with covid. I am very happy with the experience.
Super thin crust with a cracker crunch to it. The Greek Pizza was probably the best I've had. Prices were decent for a tourist spot.
Okay pizza. It’s just covered in too much very greedy cheese that none of the other flavors can be tasted. Some people might like that. Location is great and prices are good. Service was friendly. Large pizza is very large and can easily be shared by 3 adults. Wouldn’t return.
Great pizza. Crunchy. Well made with great toppings. The antipasta was fantastic as was the garlic bread. Both came out before the pizza and were so good I forgot to take a picture.Family owned and with a consistent staff. Can't wait to come back.
We always stay in south haven. Tried this place for the first time. It was awful!!! We ordered a large sausage and cheese pizza. We maybe had 4 pieces of sausage total on the whole pizza. Very skimpy on the cheese and crust was very thin. We walked in to pick up our pizza and we noticed the people preparing the pizza were not wearing gloves with putting on the toppings. Very dirty place. I wouldn't even serve this pizza to my worst enemy. If I could I would give no stars.
1st time we have been here. Pizza was delicious and Xavier was friendly and helpful with suggestions.
We are visiting South Haven on vacation. The place was under staffed. Our waiter was rude and didn’t ask us once how our pizza was it refill our drinks. There were 5 of us. We had to ask for plates and silverware. He gave us 4 plates and 3 sets of silverware. We asked for a specialty pizza and didn’t get it. When the meal was over we told him only so we wouldn’t get charged for it. He was ride and didn’t apologize. We don’t need to go back.
My favorite go to for a pizza to go. Chicago style thin crust, cut into small squares😁
Good pizza, good service.
Long time favorite, with stuffed shells being our favorite. Kudos to a hometown business!Great staff too 😀
I love coming to this restaurant when ever I’m in town, outside seating is great for families wanting to eat out. It’s definitely got the best pizza I’ve ever tasted.
Jaydin our waitress was extremely nice and helpful. The restaurant was understaffed but she was doing her best. Tons of flies were everywhere while we were eating, it was almost unbearable. Pizza was fine but we probably won’t be returning.
We ordered takeout from here last night, and it was very good! We had the thin crust pepperoni pizza, cheese garlic bread, and tomato-onion salad. It was all very tasty and a great choice for a night in.
Great pizza and service!!
This is a small pizza place. It could a face lift, but the food is always good. They even serve gluten free pizza! I ordered it last time and it came out a little on the overdone side. They offered to cook another one if I didn't like it, but I like extra crispy pizza so it was perfect! I think they should get extra points for offering to make a whole new pizza. They may be on the slightly pricey side but I'd say it's worth it.
Went for our first time in years the other day. Wonderful service and food!! We were enjoying our time and the positive attitudes of everyone working UNTIL what seemed to be the manager or owner came in... he was preforming typical manager duties and giving instructions, but was extremely condescending and rude to the staff, which was unpleasant to listen to while eating. Go support the awesome staff there because they deserve it for putting up with him.
Good pizza
